Program Note

Written at the end of my studies at Southern Mississippi, this unison Communion Service was first employed during my service as Interim Director of Music at First-Trinity Presbyterian Church in Laurel, Mississippi. Later, it became the standard communion service music at Grace Episcopal Church in Newton, Massachusetts, where I served as a staff singer and Director of the Junior Choir.  Kyrie, Agnus Dei, Sanctus and Memorial Acclamation are included - all in English. 

The melodic theme from this piece became the cantus firmus of my Missa Brevis.
