Music from the opera, THE STRANGERS:

1. A City's Lifeblood - a depiction of late-19th Century New Orleans, and it's lifeblood, the Mississippi River.

 

2. A River's Tributaries - a tour of the various musics heard throughout the city during this time. Ten years later, Jazz would be born.

 

3. Jazz Funeral - The deep Catholic culture of the city runs deep through this two-part celebration of the dead.

 

4. Fat Tuesday - the Bacchanalia that is Mardi Gras.
