Oh to grace, or maybe zen

So, just how much of a caning can one lowly composer get out of one silly little hymn-anthem that was just going to be a one-off easy as pie.  Lots.

So here's what I learned:

1) Finale doesn't have spell check and I need it to.

2) Don't write lots of notes for a choir on two staves when you can just as easily write them on four.

3) Don't cut corners on text underlay.

4) Generally, get an assistant.

5) When singing one's own music, listen with your performer's ears.
